FORGIVING FORWARD: KOREAN EDITION

We began last year with a clear sense from the Lord, confirmed through our Board, that 2020 would be a “Year of Expansion.” Three days later after that confirmation, we met with a small group in our area that was beginning the Forgiving Forward Video Course. The leader of the group had invited us to “kick off” the study by sharing our story and the impact Forgiving Forward is having in people’s lives. We always enjoy meeting new people and telling the stories of freedom, but this night was special.

One of the couples there was Joseph and Enny Kim, a Korean pastor and his wife, who were completing a sabbatical year here. Joseph is the Lead Pastor of a large church and oversees a Christian school. Enny leads an expansive network of ladies in small groups across South Korea. As he listened to our story, Joseph was clearly moved by the power and simplicity of the forgiveness message. After the small group, we scheduled for the four of us to have lunch together before Joseph returned home to South Korea.

A friend of ours once said, “Good friends aren’t made, they’re recognized,” which would accurately describe what happened at our lunch date! Our hearts connected! Joseph and Enny resonated with the message of Forgiving Forward and invited us to come to South Korea to teach it to the people they minister to and are connected with. They also asked if they could assist us in translating Forgiving Forward into Korean. And the rest, as they say, is His Story.

Joseph returned to Korea, armed with all the Forgiving Forward material and immediately began working, along with his assistant Amy, on the translation project. Enny stayed in the states for a couple of more months, finished the Forgiving Forward Video Course, and spent time with Toni. While COVID kept us from traveling physically to South Korea, we were able to teach our full seminar to key leaders in their church who help edit the translation through Zoom! Once it was all ready to go, Joseph and Enny connected us with Timothy Publishing House, a top Christian publisher in South Korea.

All of which leads us to our big announcement…..

Today, April 13, 2021, Forgiving Forward: Korean Edition is being officially published!

We are so grateful to God for the passion and hard work that Joseph, Enny, and their team invested in making this a reality. Also, we are grateful for our new partners at Timothy Publishing House. We cannot begin to imagine all that God has planned in expanding the Forgiving Forward message into South Korea and the rest of Asia.

Forgiving Forward is now published in 5 languages: English, Hebrew, Arabic, Spanish and Korean. We are blown away by the grace of God toward us. God has truly given us an Ephesians 3:21 ministry! We never dreamed we would write a book, much less one that is making a difference in 5 languages. Only God!!!

In His ReGenerating Life,

Bruce and Toni Hebel
